Camebert is a web cam viewer that can be used to monitor any number of web cams around the globe. You can set the program to automatically update each cam on a pre-defined schedule. A really neat feature is the option to minimize the web cams to a tiny row of thumbnails (size can be customized) which allows you to keep an eye on the cam without wasting much desktop space.
